How long does the process take?
The application typically takes 1–5 business days. Government processing and validation can take 1–10 business days. Missing information, tax mismatches, and holidays can extend the timeline.
What are a UEI and CAGE number?
A UEI is a 12-character identifier assigned to businesses in SAM. CAGE is a five-character identifier used for businesses in SAM. Both help federal agencies identify your business.
